CYTOPLASM

The cytoplasm is the material that lies within the cell membrane, but outside of the nucleus. This is semi-fluid made up mostly of water. The cell organelles float in the cytoplasm and move from place to place in a movement called streaming. All the cell's chemicial reactions take place in the cytoplasm. Materials can diffuse in and out of the cytoplasm and dissolve.
